One Way Ministries offers an Addiction Recovery Meeting every Thursday night at 7:00 PM at The Rock.
This program is designed to support:
- those currently struggling with any type of addiction
- those who have recovered
- those who are recovering from an addiction
- family members or friends who have loved ones that are struggling with an addiction
Addiction is a powerful tool that Satan uses to entangle and entrap us into a lifestyle of sin and leaves the addicted and the loved ones around them with a feeling of despair, depression, and hopelessness.
However, we as Christians know that God is greater than any addiction that Satan could put in our lives. Through this program, there is only One Way to overcome your addiction and that is through the Truth. This program is based on the scripture in John 8:32 where Jesus replied, “You shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall set you free.” In this scripture when Jesus was speaking about “the Truth,” He was speaking of Himself. Therefore, the number one step to overcome addiction is accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Secondly, one must acknowledge that there is a problem in their life that only God can overcome. And thirdly, they must be taught how to walk daily with the Lord. Through a Bible-based literature, which is based on Galatians 5:22, we teach people how to walk daily in the Spirit.
At each meeting, there will be a time to praise God for what He has done in their lives, pray for their needs, meet people within the group that will hold them accountable, and a time to grow in God’s Word through teaching.
We also currently have a ministry at the Gibson County Jail for men every Wednesday at 6:30 PM. If you would like information regarding this program or know of someone who is currently in need of this program, you may contact us at 731-414-1519.
